Aston Martin AMR23

The Aston Martin AMR23, debuted in 2023, marked a huge leap for the team. It was the second car under the effect floor regulation introduced in 2022, already with modifications to reduce porpoising and a higher floor. Aston Martin opted for an aggressive design of sidepods type "downwash", a clean rear wing and a more worked front wing. Equipped with Mercedes-AMG M12 1.6 V6 hybrid engine, Mercedes gearbox and a minimum weight of 798 kg, the AMR23 showed outstanding performance at the start of the season, placing itself as the second force in several races. Alonso achieved eight podiums and the team finished fifth with 280 points, remaining 22nd from the fourth place. Although it lost some rhythm with the evolutions, the car consolidated the reputation of the team and its technical director Dan Fallows as an ascending force in the modern era.
