Our Story
A team of engineers united by a shared passion: motorsport.
We share an engineering background and a deep fascination with Formula 1. Conversations about aerodynamics, race strategy and the most iconic designs in motorsport history planted the seed for everything. One day, we decided to go from admiring to creating. We set up a small computer loaded with modeling software and a great deal of determination. The first car took us weeks of work, but when we saw the result, every curve, every detail faithfully reproduced, we knew we had found our calling. That is how Downforce Division was born: not as a business, but as the natural extension of a passion we had carried inside since childhood.

Project collaborator
Rafa García-Cano
Master of airbrushing
Behind the finish of every Formula 1 nose that leaves our workshop is the hand of Rafa García-Cano, the project's collaborating artist. With a degree in Fine Arts from the Polytechnic University of Valencia, he began his career as an art restorer and graphic designer before devoting himself entirely to airbrushing.
In 1992 he founded Aerodiseño, his studio in Torrent (Valencia), where he has turned airbrushing into a discipline of almost surgical precision. He masters two-coat solvent painting and hyperrealist portraiture, working with professional equipment until he achieves finishes impossible to tell apart from the original.
His reputation has led him to create work for world-class drivers such as Adrián Campos and Carlos Sainz, and from 1999 to 2009 he was Fernando Alonso's official painter, customizing his helmets for a decade. That same demand is what he brings to Downforce Division: every livery, every gradient and every detail of our noses passes through his artistic judgment so that the replica breathes the authenticity of a real single-seater.
Precision and craftsmanship in every detail
3D Design
We model each piece digitally using engineering software, studying real references to capture every curve and aerodynamic detail of the car.
Vinyl Wrapping
We design every sticker and graphic from scratch, reproducing the exact sponsors, numbers, and colors. Then we apply each vinyl by hand with millimeter precision.
Final Assembly
We hand-assemble every component, wing, nose, sidepods, wheels, checking fitment and finishes until the replica meets our quality standard.
Presentation
Each replica is presented on a wooden base with an engraved commemorative plaque, ready to display as a true collector's piece.
